Designed by the home building industry, this programme introduces women to a career in site management.
During the programme you will learn what working in the home building industry looks like, attending training, insight sessions, and a two-week work placement. You will gain hands-on experience, build industry knowledge, and connect with potential employers.
The programme is an HBF initiative, delivered by Pathway CTM and in partnership with UK home builders.
The programme has been running since 2023 and offers a week of funded online training, followed by a two-week work placement as a trainee site manager at a local home building site. The spring programme will run from 5 to 22 May 2026. The deadline for this intake’s applications is Sunday 22 March midnight.
Importantly, through the programme’s partnership with NHBC, candidates are supported with childcare and travel costs throughout the placements. Another important detail is that candidates do not need prior construction experience to apply, and the programme is designed to help them meet employers and get their foot in the door for a potential management/specialised career.
