Purpose of the Role Accounts Assistant

To assist with timely reporting of sales/purchase incurred by the company. The role requires good analytical skills and attention to detail. You will need good organisational and interpersonal skills to develop a working relationship with your counterparts working for our clients and suppliers. You will possess the ability to work to tight deadlines and meet strict reporting/filing deadlines imposed. You will be provided with ‘on the job’ training and an opportunity to grow with the role. The role will allow you to obtain an understanding of the reporting function from a management perspective as well as an insight into the statutory reporting requirements.

Detailed Profile & Responsibilities

· Liaising with the commercial team to ensure sales invoices raised and issued in a timely manner.

· Liaising with the procurement team to ensure expenses/overheads are appropriately authorized and categorized.

· Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and highlighting any anomalies.

· Recording of Sales, purchase, expense invoices on Eque2, Sage construct and process timely import to Sage Line 50.

· Coding of invoices to project cards and departmental codes on Sage construct.

· Assisting with preparation of subcontractor payment runs and cross confirm signoffs for day rate subcontractors.

· Maintaining Sales and purchase ledgers on Sage Line 50 and carry out monthly reconciliations to supplier statements.

· Scanning purchase invoices to Eque2 Construct using Spindle document manager.

· Basic administration and filing to maintain records.

· Assisting the accounts team with any ad hoc duties and analytical work for reporting purposes.

The post-holder will be expected to participate in developing Arc Group Standards in Business Performance and must be Enfield resident.
